Professor Xu Remarked on the 2002 John A. Boswick M.D. Burn & Wound Care Symposium

Professor Rongxiang Xu today made an oral presentation on 2002 John A. Boswick M.D. Burn & Wound Care Symposium held in Maui, Hawaii, USA. His report was entitled “Cloning of Intestinal Tissues by Cultivating Stem Cells in vitro” which evoked great interests of participants.

In last November, Professor Xu and his team declared they had successfully duplicated gastrointestinal organs by culturing Stem Cells in vitro. The website at www. stemcellresearchnews.com reported this breakthrough on the December 1 issue of news. This is the first time that Professor Xu addressed this innovation in the international conference.

In addition, at the request of Professor Xu, Dr. Xinfan Xuang made another oral presentation entitled “Cultivation of Epidermal Stem Cells in Deep Burn Wounds” which delivered the success by Professor Xu and his team on treating deep burn wounds.
