Kevin Xu Unveils New Global Commitment at CGI 2025 Annual Meeting
On September 24, 2025, Kevin Xu, Chairman of MEBO Group and Former Chair of the APEC Host Committee, was invited to join the Leaders Stage and announced MEBO’s new Commitment to Action at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) 2025 Annual Meeting. This new Commitment to Action: “Silver Healing: Equitable Community Wound Care”, is an initiative designed to extend regenerative medical innovation beyond hospitals and into community-based care systems, addressing the urgent needs of elderly patients with chronic wounds. As an exemplary case, Mr. Xu was also invited to highlight this Commitment to Action at the Health Working Group, where he joined other fellow commitment makers to discuss critical challenges and solutions for advancing health equity.
Over the next three years, Silver Healing will be implemented across 28 countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The initiative will focus on low- and middle-income settings and disadvantaged elderly communities. MEBO commits to training 1,000 certified community wound therapists, directly reaching more than 10,000 elders with chronic wounds, and indirectly benefiting over 70,000 caregivers and community members through public education, clinical consultations, and donation of essential medical supplies.

“Silver Healing” marks the latest milestone in MEBO’s decade-long collaboration with CGI, building on prior commitments such as From Urban to Rural: Training Doctors on Moist Exposed Burn Therapy (2015), Wave of Restoration: New MEBT Training in Latin America (2019), the COVID-19 Student Action Fund (2020), and Mending Europe: Empowering the Establishment of Regeneration Network (2022).
Former U.S. President and CGI Founder Bill Clinton has repeatedly recognized Xu’s leadership and MEBO’s contributions as model examples of CGI Commitments to Action. By uniting stakeholders - including hospitals, clinics, NGOs, governments, and industry partners - MEBO continues to advance its mission of “Improving lives through the power of science and technology.” The company is committed to creating scalable, sustainable healthcare solutions for aging societies, and promoting more equitable distribution of healthcare resources worldwide.
