Former APEC Chair Kevin Xu Attends Global Citizen Awards Gala in New York

On September 24, the Global Citizen Awards Gala was held in New York, bringing together over 600 prominent figures from international political, business, and cultural circles. Kevin Xu, Chairman of MEBO Group and former Chair of the APEC Organizing Committee, attended as a distinguished guest.

This year’s Global Citizen Awards honored French President Emmanuel Macron, Argentine President Javier Milei, and other leaders for their outstanding contributions to global affairs. During the evening, Xu held cordial discussions with both President Macron and President Milei.

In his conversation with President Macron, Xu highlighted Vice Chairman of the Board Li Li’s recent role as an Olympic torchbearer during the Cannes–Nice relay segment of the Paris 2024 Games. The two also exchanged views on MEBO’s continued support for sports, including its long-term cooperation with the French Open.
