On September 10, 2025, Kevin Xu, Chairman of the Board of MEBO Group and former Chair of the APEC Host Committee, was invited to join Barbara, Vice President of the APEC Center, together with members of the APEC working group and several representatives, for a venue tour at the Gyeongju Arts Center to review preparations for the 2025 APEC CEO Summit.

Gyeongju is making its final efforts for the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting and related business activities, scheduled for October 28 to November 1. As a representative of MEBO Group, an important APEC strategic partner from 2023 to 2025, Xu’s visit aimed to strengthen consensus within the Asia-Pacific business community.

The delegation inspected major areas including the plenary hall, roundtable discussion zones, and media center. Kim Dong-min, Executive Director of the 2025 APEC CEO Summit, provided a briefing on agenda arrangements, transportation, security, and VIP reception.

Organizers also presented Xu with the summit emblem featuring Silla cultural elements. The butterfly motif represents connectivity and innovation, resonating with Xu’s view that “the essence of APEC lies in fostering relationships and partnership.” Xu has been invited to deliver a keynote speech on October 30 at the forum “Global Cooperation to Deliver Better Digital Healthcare.”
