Kevin Xu Joins California Delegation Meeting with Kenyan President William Ruto

On August 11, 2025, Kenyan President William Ruto welcomed a high-level California delegation at the State House in Nairobi. The delegation included California Transportation Secretary Toks Omishakin, Los Angeles Deputy Mayor Dilpreet Sidhu, representatives from the University of California system, and California business leaders. U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Carla Benini also attended and delivered remarks. MEBO Group Chairman Kevin Xu participated as an Executive Committee Member and Director of the Bay Area Council.

Strengthening U.S.-Kenya Partnerships

President Ruto highlighted Kenya’s readiness to deepen multi-level cooperation with the United States in climate change mitigation, economic growth, and sustainable development. Benini emphasized Kenya’s central role in U.S. Africa policy, citing shared values in governance, rule of law, and democracy.

In his address, Kevin Xu announced MEBO’s plans to localize production of its regenerative healthcare products in Kenya, creating jobs and enhancing the country’s medical capabilities. He also shared initiatives to extend the Clinton Global Initiative’s training programs to Africa and strengthen medical supply networks under PEPFAR’s 20th anniversary.
